6 adult Russian White-fronted Geese
Russian White-fronted Geese with Greylags and Canadas on a flooded cereal field
I needed these today after reading about the grim Greenland Whitefront situation. Popped over to see an excellent flock of 40 Russian Whitefronts and left having seen π₯194π₯! The highest #shropshirebirding count since the demise of the wintering flock in late 70s! #goosing ebird.org/checklist/S2...

Local Peregrines now getting vocal.
Photographing Goshawks in Spain was no1 on my list. Having never seen one before in the wild, was an experience never to be forgotten. Their behaviour when eating prey was amazing to witness, especially when other raptors came close they would encompass the prey with their wings to protect it.
Hi Wouter, looks decent, not used in the field yet but I am sure it will be very useful.
The best bird I have seen so far is this wonderful Blue Pitta, taken in the Kaeng Krachan National Park in 2023. Still more to come from this time soon! #Birds #Thailand #Thaibirds
Nice, I was going to message you actually to see if they were back, none in mine to date.
Still waiting for them to re-appear in my garden π€
