I mean the phrase is also kind of flirting with antisemitism, but to me the idea that rape is a symptom of wealth, rather than of gender hierarchy, is a really transparent way to deny the ubiquity of sexual violence by men against women—which is everywhere, up and down the economic hierarchy.
