Two new imsim-adjacent games to be on your radar:
- The Stone of Madness (by Blasphemous dev), an RTT stealth game in the vein of Commandos but more reactive
- Eternal Strands (by former Dragon Age dev), imagine Dragon's Dogma with more physical and elemental magic interactions
I didnβt use Twitter for so long I like completely forget i have this account cuz Iβm not used to posting my thoughts. Iβm on insta mostly but itβs probably on the way out so I guessβ¦ weβre all starting an art account over from scratch? π
a venn diagram. the left circle is βpeople who understand that climate change is an existential threatβ and the right circle is βpeople who use Al, but, like, not for real work! lol! i just needed a silly pic of a dog on a scooter and it's surprisingly hard to find good reference imagesβ
waaaaay too many people in the middle imo
Itβs scary to watch things fall apart, but it also makes me to want to create art to remember/replace/express whatβs been lost.
Well, why are you offended? π¨οΈ
Ive actually been loving milanote for plotting things out. It works just like how my brain does by trying to put things in little categorized pockets, but visually and without the memory problems people brains have. Finally happy to start writing my script now (:
Another robot for you today π
Thanks for showing us!! These are so awesome
Just scrolling thru this thread but Iβd also love to see them!
Digital painting - aerial view of a city at night, gothic buildings among the urban sprawl. A river runs through it. Dark blues and orange street lights.
Y'know years ago I was pretty convinced learning art history wouldn't have a meaningful impact upon the art I make- until I eventually made the effort and started learning art history. Would highly recommend it if you haven't taken that step yourself. It will surprise, delight, and inspire you.
Every video game that gets launched is a small miracle.
Make art that you think is fuckin sick as hell. Make the shit you never thought you could that you always wanted to see. Beat your insecurity to death and fight to become your own favorite artist.
i wish non-artists would connect their frustration about how "nothing looks cool anymore" with the fact that artists are given less freedom and opportunities in industrial design and user interfaces. we still have creative people and beautiful things, that never went away
Four games I've worked on
lol all good!!
I definitely will! itβs been on my list for a while, waiting for a steam sale π€π€π€

YES. But only if you DIDNT put it on a completed list 5 years before because you βbasically finished itβ or anything. The temptation is real however
Me too!! The main kind of games I love are horror and surreal stuff! So probably more that. I work for neopets drawing the pets and items right now lol, but maybe I could combine the two likes one day!
But for now? Iβll draw lots and lots of neopets and slowly hack away at my small itch. io projects
One of these days I wanna solo indie dev a huge ass project, employed or not
