Well that sure is a bit random
In loving memory of Meggy. On Monday, Simon and I held Meggy as our vet helped her pass on. She has been deteriorating since last Friday. Stopped purring and by Monday, didn’t want to be touched anymore. We got to love her for 10 years and will miss her for much longer than that.

Managed to film the rarest of moments. Only Meggy and Henry plus our bonus cat, Khaigai would get under the duvet with us. None of our others but recently Nelly started to. She only does it sporadically with me and she shows all the love. Even got some nibbles!
Luna’s eyes hold the whole universe. I could watch her admire the world all day long. Rescuing you has brought something to our family we didn’t know was missing. #mainecoon
So many requests for last kisses so here you go. The vet practice just called to say they’ve been able to move a few things around and are able to come to our home after all, which we are so grateful for. They’re going to call when he is on the way but will be around 4pm.
So many of you have asked us to give Meggy a kiss or cuddle so here she is enjoying some gentle head rubs.
We are booked in at 4pm and will bring our baby girl home for the others to say goodbye before our final goodbye at the cremation tomorrow.
Dear Cat Castle Clowder. The decision is made. Whilst Meggy was snuggled between us and not purring loudly as she always does, we knew it was time. We called the vet and unfortunately they don’t have the option to come to us today due to their busy schedule.

She has. 40 grams so not huge but she is indeed looking well. She is a marvel
The vet didn’t dare give an indication of how much time we have left as she has surprised us at every turn. She is an absolute marvel
Every time Meggy eats, it’s a marvel. With each bite she defies all the odds. Her Eurea values are at 37. Normal is 5-15. Normal is that cats with such a value don’t want to eat and throw up a lot but with Meggy, it’s the opposite.

Meggy is loving having us all to herself this week. Simon fell asleep on the sofa yesterday and she snuggled right into him. Am glad we took her with us as definitely worried less.
On holiday for the week and we took Meggy with us to care for her. She is loving not having to share us with anyone plus she has more people to fuss over her!

Just need to make the appointment so they can show us how to do it. He did reiterate that Meggy is in the end stage of her life and we are likely looking at weeks, not months. We know this will not save her. We know her kidneys are failing but as long as it helps her be more comfortable, we’ll do it
Spoke to the vet about sub q fluids and they are normally not keen for people to do this themselves however considering how well they know us and know how deeply we care, they are making an exception.
Our niece loves Bob and Bob loves our niece. He normally isn’t allowed in the guest room unless the guest allows him to come in and of course, our niece was never gonna say no to her best friend.
That decision is so hard and so painful. We had it 3 times, now officially last year as it’s gone midnight here.
