everyone should read this piece Clinton wrote about Everett Fitzhugh and the Kraken. Especially if you're a Kraken fan and want to feel good about the team and the choices they've made about their future as an organization.
column: with the sport of hockey under a microscope following the Olympics, remind yourself that at least one NHL team (@SeattleKraken.com) and one guy β Everett Fitzhugh β are trying to do things the right way. andscape.com/features/eve...
preciate you, fam. always
column: Tony Clark's shocking resignation from MLBPA is about far more than just a scandalous affair, which is the most disappointing part of all this. andscape.com/features/ton...
Ainβt no one else in @clintonyates.bsky.social lane or on his level when writing thru a lens like this

(solemnly) duvaaaaaaall
Like 75% of the US Olympic curlers are from Minnesota. A lot of them curl out of two clubs in Saint Paul, one club is in Frogtown, a neighborhood that has been very heavily targeted by ICE. These curlers are good neighbors.
right? I was stunned
did I just hear this polish man figure skating to Snap's "I Got The Power"??
elle no longer has to worry about keeping it cute for disney and is letting the choppa sing!
What a week it was, kiddos.
if you're into this kind of thing, the winter olympics opening ceremony just got underway

Pouring one out for WaPo sports, which directly gave us Pardon the Interruption, Around the Horn, and one of the baddest to ever do sports reporting, @clintonyates.bsky.social
The WaPo sports section was so seismic in its work that it closing down should be considered an institutional injustice.
every big NBA trade is like "we sent Washington every player we have and got ten dollars"

He keeps every story I write in boxes in his home. He calls me to ask if I know when my stories make it on the front page of the sports section.
Itβs an honor to be part of the @postsports.bsky.social team. Always have felt that way but especially today.
People ask me what my favorite part of working at The Post is and I often tell them my granddad. A native Washingtonian, heβs an avid sports fan. When I was hired in 2021, it was a full-circle moment for my family.
Serving local readers like him is a privilege. #SaveThePost
