When USC inevitably loses this game and Lincoln chooses to go elsewhere, I’ll gladly drive him to the airport.

It’s not that the Jets will lose another football game — they’re a bad team. It’s that they’ve regressed every single week while continuing to make the same mistakes.
Tommy Watson’s last meaningful kick as a Sunderland player is to win the Championship Playoff Final and catapult the Lads to the Premier League. #safc
My biggest worry is that Coventry are the best team on paper in the playoffs. Did not want to play them. But it’s the playoffs. Anything can happen. Back the Lads. #safc
Sure, the form heading into the playoffs has been poor. Worrying. But to be confirmed in this position essentially two months ago, with a thin squad and injuries, left RLB in an impossible position. I don’t fault him one bit. #safc
Can we take a moment to acknowledge what a brilliant season #safc have had? A young squad, an unproven coach and yet a massive overachievement over 46 games. Full credit to the players, the recruitment, the coach — RLB has been outstanding.
I will never get over Tom Watson losing the 2009 Open Championship. Unless Fred Couples wins the 2025 Masters.
One of the best traditions in sports. www.masters.com/en_US/watch/...
One final time for Sam and JD. An iconic duo.
Anyway, three points, back to winning ways, on the whole a good performance. #safc
Will also be interested to see what RLB says about Mundle’s antics. #safc
Weird game that. Thought Sunderland played well in spells. Millwall had some good movement but a clear lack of talent/end product. Isidor had a sure goal saved brilliantly. And then the penalty — what are we doing? O’Nien? Might as well have RLB or Michael Proctor take it themselves. Goodness. #safc
Worst #safc performance of the season, by far. And if Cirkin is out long term, this will have been an utter disaster.
Dan Neil oozes class. Oozes. #safc
Didn’t see today’s game, but let’s keep our cool #safc fans, yeah? This season has been a smashing success thus far. Trust RLB and the Lads to deliver the goods at the end.
The amount of hate being thrown at RLB on the other site, my goodness. The man has worked wonders with the youngest squad in the league. Is he a little slow with his subs? Sure. But that’s not the reason #safc failed to win or draw today. Beaten by a better team.
Absolutely gutting and nothing to be ashamed of. Beaten away from home by the division’s best team in a raucous atmosphere.
Also RLB waited far too long to make any changes when the tide clearly turned.
Also Strujik clearly fouled Samed before heading home the equalizer.
#safc
Waited until well after the work day ended to turn on #safc away at Boro and rewarded with an absolutely massive 3-2 win to stay in the hunt for automatics. Still buzzing. What a performance by the Lads!
Failing to win at home to Plymouth. Conceding twice against a team with three goals in 14 away games. And giving up a late lead yet again. Two massive, massive, massive points dropped. #safc
That was pathetic. Worst result of the season by far. #safc
Supremely frustrating half for #safc. All of the ball, but no clear cut chances against a dire Plymouth side. Improvement needed in the second 45. This has to be three points.
I can also see why Burnley are tough to beat — they bore you into submission. A really dull team. #safc
Classic would-have-taken-a-draw-before-the-game-but-that’s-a-tough-one-to-take game. How on earth can the same player miss two penalties? I worry those two points dropped will be the difference come May. But I sure hope Isidor holds his head up — he’s been sensational this year. #safc
Somehow the season is only at the halfway mark? Anyway the Rangers are back warm up the Canyon.
Weird one that. Clear #safc were emotionally drained after the win over Sheffield United, and a challenging run of festive fixtures. But the remit was to beat Portsmouth and Sunderland did just that. No letdown. Onward.
Gutty performance by the Lads! Absolutely buzzing for Mayenda to score after a run of bad misses, and what can be said about Wilson’s skill and finish? #safc
I will say this — I wholly trust Le Bris to get this right. #safc
For a team that’s lost just twice in 17 matches, feels like they’re teetering. Squad is clearly thin, players are looking tired late in games, not taking their chances, and yet again struggling up top. Work to be done in January. #safc
That’s a really bad loss. Did #safc look past Stoke City? Inexcusable.
The Holiday is the real Christmas movie.
