Really insightful analysis.

Get in. We're messing up Melania's Amazon search results. This weekend, Amazon is premiering it's $40 million Melania Trump documentary. It already seems to be a flop. But we're going to take it one step further by messing up Melania's Amazon search results. Specifically, we're going to amplify the paranormal erotic thriller, Melania: Devourer of Men so it ranks higher than her movie. The book is perfect: it's absurd, the cover is ridiculous, and it's free, so we're not giving Amazon any money. We need people to: 1. "buy" the book (it's free) 2. Share this post and get other people to buy the book. That's it. Then we can celebrate as an erotic novel about a bat monster Melania Trump becomes a higher and higher search result on Amazon.
Okay troublemakers, punks, antifa supervillains, and anyone who just enjoys being a petty little shitbird while they fuck up the algorithm of a massive media corp. Here's your assignment for the weekend. Get on it and spread the word.
News/UK Politics Live: I feel like I've come
Not the 9 o'clock news
This is the best speech, just from a pure rhetoric perspective - its sophistication and persuasiveness - that I've seen a politician deliver in a good long while. Really recommend watching or reading the whole thing.
Two push alerts from the BBC. The second is a correction of the first, but with a capitalised 'd' in the word 'Digital'. The alert reads: Chris Mason: Digital ID U-turn is yet another climbdown for government

The ICE shooter in Minnesota is apparently called Jonathan Ross as well, which adds to the overall surrealism.
So, the Ashes has been utterly fucking miserable - turns out We Couldn't Still Win This, After All. However, @barneyronay.bsky.social's writing has been a bright light throughout the series. "A voice you only get to hear if you've been following the conversation" is just a perfect line. Read him:
It's New Year, so time to look back and forward. These are 10 things I think we need to recognise in 2026. Itโs a response to what I think are profoundly damaging mistaken assumptions Iโve heard and read from practitioners, journalists, and analysts in 2025. Warning: very long๐งต

A photograph of the seminary gym in knives out. It has the same window.
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

It has seen action in many a late-night swingometer-fuelled election party.
I mean, it was tempting not to throw it at the wall after that Pope dismissal.

I retract my snark! Fascinating.
So he's admitting he refused to believe what all the clinical trials were saying until he saw a play? I'm not sure I'd write to a newspaper about that!
CMF was tested in the 1970s by Bonadonna et al (1976) and the Milan group. Their demonstration that the risk of breast cancer recurrence after surgery could be reduced with the addition of adjuvant chemotherapy paved the way for the development of surgical procedures less morbid than those pioneered by Halsted. Ref: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2752226/
Lovely letter but unfortunately I don't think that can be true. Adjuvant chemo for breast cancer was first used from the mid-70s. Maybe seeing Arcadia was when Baum 1st understood *why* it was effective? Doesn't make sense otherwise - was widely used much earlier.
