Finally pushed myself to finish the latest Zenless Zone Zero story. The timing of the in-game celebration mirrored the timing of Lunar New Year, which naturally led to the conclusion being filled with such optimism.

The Marathon Server Slam has been INCREDIBLE. I was in it for the art direction and lore. I'm locking in for the gunplay which, obviously, feels reminiscent of Destiny 2.
Finally had a chance to play Arknights: Enfield and I really love how much it reminds me of Death Stranding. The UI, the post-apocalyptic-hyper-utilitarian designs are siiiick!

This all started after I stumbled upon Octavia Butler's journaling practice (vision journaling), which has been super encouraging.
I'm sure my algo is biased, but I've been seeing a lot of posts around journaling systems, vision journals, manifestation boards, etc.
This feels like perfect timing for the new year with resolutions and such.

2026 taught me that my favorite sci-fi/fantasy trope is just worms.
Destiny 2 = Worms
Dune = Worms
Kill 6 Billion Demons
= Worms
Age of Wonders 4 = Worms (okay blood maggots, but still)
This also applies to cartoons and comics and basically everything. It doesn’t matter if you have a concept of something already out there. If you love it, do it. Your work will have your unique mark on it by virtue of being made by YOU. (Also two cakes.)
