Years ago, Garrison Keillor asked me after a show if that was what I wanted to do full-time. When I said yes, he replied, "You should do it now. You have a great future behind you." After being off the road all last month, I feel that pull even more. And, it remains some of the best advice, ever.

Today in history, 1913: Thousands of women march down Pennsylvania Avenue in the Woman Suffrage Procession, Washington, D.C.’s first large-scale political march. The event was marred by a violent mob of men who physically assaulted the marchers. /1

If you were definitely not running a concentration camp, you might avoid using phrases like β€œdaily burn rate.”

Capable? You mean the money and arms we offer them that MAKES them capable? You mean BUYING allies? This is not a serious man or administration, but he's just making it abundantly clear that he shouldn't be in this role.

Honestly, give this man a role he can truly sink his teeth into. He's been solid across the board with the roles he's accepted. Give him something truly good. Write it FOR HIM. I feel like he's just flexing as hard as he can in mid-range roles. I can't wait to see him explode.

Because we all need a little more joy in our lives. His performance was exceptional and I have particular love for awards going to anything in the horror genre. But Viola's reaction? I started crying.

There is a petty part of me that wants to be like, "Reinstitute the draft. But only for those who voted for Trump."

The rest of me knows that our reckless behavior in the Middle East today is going to cost us and our young for generations.
So maybe just send the Boomers and GenX who voted for him.

He's the ultimate opportunist. Both he and Trump are ego-driven, but I think Vance is *almost* more dangerous. He knows how to play the game and use a turn of phrase in ways that Trump does not. Here's hoping his turn as VP for Trump has irrevocably tarnished him.

The Iran strikes are not about US safety. Again and again, we tried to show people that Trump's only interest was himself. He made it clear himself again and again. I don't want to hear shit from people who voted for him. You were warned, you knew better, and you did it anyway. This is on you.

Fuck Fetterman. That man needs to be ousted. Like, his whole game right now is a pivot to "common sense" Republican in the next few years. Start pouring money into a primary.

"Patriotism is spreading." Ma'am, I'd like you to show your work on that particular equation.

28.02.2026 23:55 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Honestly, I wonder sometimes if at least part of the equation isn't greater fear of a Vance presidency, both for their own aims and the country.

There is no good outcome in Iran. New guy? He's got two choices: play puppet and face an uprising, or launch strikes to declare independence. In either case, the US gets drawn into prolonged conflict, other countries become collateral damage, and terrorist cells get the best propaganda in decades.

Nothing like waking up to yet another pointless, counterproductive war.

Unless Trump attempts another executive workaround (which will likely fail, too), the SCOTUS decision means that Congress will have to pass a bill giving him the ability to raise tariffs. But the midterms are around the corner. I don't think he has the votes.

20.02.2026 17:31 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I'm on board with cheering the SCOTUS tariff decision, BUT let's be clear: consumers will NOT be getting a check. Corporations will. And while some may lower their prices in turn, most will not, pocketing the money they may get back. In other words, Trump's tariffs permanently fucked us.

Getting 5% of it wrong (and, realistically, it's often much more than that) is a significant problem in critical fields. But what's worse is the DEGREE to which it's wrong. I've trained AI. You would not believe some of the downright dangerous shit it spits out.

Notably, ID for buying beer and certain medications has to do with the impact of substances on brain development and the potential negative consequences associated with their use. Airline ID checks have to do with terrorism prevention.

Voter ID? Because letting the people vote endangers the GOP.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

What is the point of having Bondi appear before committees anymore? 1) She's going to lie, 2) She's going to give Trump soundbites, 3) You aren't going to learn anything. Either remove her from office or find someone else to talk to. Period.
