it's a secret so don't tell anyone, but I painted an orange last year

Essek is a young-looking slender dark elf with light lavender skin and shoulder-length white hair, which is artfully curled and pinned back. Caleb is a light-skinned thin human in his early forties, with auburn chin-length wavy hair and a full beard. they are both dressed in formal clothing, cream and light pink to match the colors Jester had picked for her wedding. A #shadowgast rendition of the painting "Meeting on the turret stairs." Essek, an elf in sumptuous blue robes, and Caleb, a human in a leather coat over a maroon shirt, share a moment on a stone spiral staircase. Essek is climbing up and Caleb is descending; in the moment of their passing each other, Caleb has clutched Essek's hand in his arms and drawn it to his face. He presses his lips to Essek's forearm like he doesn't wish Essek to leave, but this is the only part of Essek he can reach. Essek has turned his face to the wall with a stricken expression. Neither of them wants the moment to be over, but they cannot stay. In less than a moment after the scene in this painting, they will have departed. The only evidence they were there will be the strand of pearls scattered on the floor: fortune, slipped through their fingers.
