This season feels like teams are much more game to game in their tactics than having a “system” that they stick to throughout the season.

The basics and fundamentals. As a team pretty much everything has improved and that’s road to more consistent performance levels. Passing, shooting, overall intensity etc. the focus on principles over structural “tactics”.
It’s been nothing but high level football from Bayern the past 3 weeks.
Claims of Kompany and his staff toning down the man to man marking/pressing since the Barcelona match is strange because I’d argue they’ve leaned into it heavier than before, especially from goal kicks or when the balls been played back to the CB’s.
Not sure if Bergas is on here but this is a nice piece over on @analyticsfc.bsky.social

I think it works for Bayern a lot more given their attacking quality. This style helps Bayern get over their issues with defending transitions and controlling games. Arsenal have other issues and this style might not be helping them out but I think it has more to do with an unfortunate start.
With each passing game I can more confidently say that Bayern plays a lot like Arsenal in many ways.
I’ve been on the Wilfried Nancy train since his first few matches in Columbus last season (@minimumwidth.bsky.social can attest), this is the latest in a long list of deserved accolades for him.
Most exciting managerial prospect on the continent — he should find success in Europe once he returns.
It’s cool to see Nagelsmann keep a lot of what his football has been since he’s coached professionally (centrally overloads and quick combinations) but change the way they get to those things (used to be quick line breaking passes, now it’s gradual possession and passes inside from wide areas).
I don’t like how my down time has lined up with this international break.
Hello everyone 😄
He needs to worry about himself 🥱
