Years of propaganda can turn evidence into noise and conspiracy into identity. When loyalty to a politician requires rejecting facts, dialogue stops being debate and starts looking like deprogramming. Democracy’s risk isn’t disagreement; it’s distrust of reality.

As former military, I understand the importance behind a chain of command. So do the Generals who carry out these attacks without Congressional approval. They should be held accountable.
