People are right to be angry. It is absolutely shameful that the Government have restricted Covid boosters to such a small group. This is a huge gamble with the nation's health purely to save money. Here is how their argument runs: a thread 🧡

I find it funny how some people have a lot to say about lives they've never lived, offering opinions on struggles they've never faced, and passing judgment on paths they've never walked.

Kind of amazing how UK news media still remains obsessed with the structurally limited impact in economic terms of small boats even as this potentially terminal havoc works its way through key UK industrial supply chains

Happy September Equinox! Today the dividing line between day and night runs exactly from the North pole to the South pole, and the sun is directly over the equator. This is an actual image of the Earth today, taken from the Himawari-8 satellite.

It is really extraordinary that people holding irrational beliefs, and who are known health scammers, are being allowed to say such rubbish. Apart from anything else, autism was diagnosed before paracetamol even existed as a medicine!

Britain Is Getting the Immigration Debate All Wrong There are worrying signs about the country's direction, as Reform tops the polls, and mainstream politicians chase the far right, writes Jonathan Portes.

The immigration debate is going badly off track, thanks to a combination of opportunism, racism and spinelessness in the UK's political and media class.

But it's not too late to turn things round.

The Government needs to take decisive positive action. This should include a policy reversal at UKHSA, a new Clean Indoor Air Act, an Employment Act to create inclusive and flexible roles, better Long Covid health services, and new support to help disabled and ill people back into work. 3/4

Day in, day out, I speak to ordinary people who are organising to welcome the asylum seekers accommodated in their towns.

They befriend, support them, reach out to them as fellow human beings.

That's the Britain I know, the one I see around me & we never get told about on TV.
