I’ve started the stitching on my Poppy Pods. I love the texture achieved with the bits of batiks that make up the confetti background. I wanted an inky black and that is what I got! Enjoy

Two more couch quilts bound and ready to send. Both are Yellow Brick Road patterns by Atkinson Designs. It is very effective and there is very little waste which I Appreciate. 30 fat quarters make the top 80” x 91”. The backs are minky cuddle. Very soft. #quiltsky#quilt
Here are a few images of my poppy pod as I turned the edges making it into a large appliqué readying it to be the centerpiece of my next art quilt. Thought I would show a process pic of the intense stitching on my small quilt, “ Begonia Swirl”. I move the fabric under the needle using unmarked free motion quilting techniques. Very relaxing to me. I love how the thread makes it come to life. Project sample for Road2Ca painting on silk workshop.
