The day consisted of a small group get-together, a picnic in the park, spending quality time getting to know each other, and getting crafty in time for the @prideinlondon.bsky.social parade!

We need a clear strategy, transparent timelines, and cross-sector partnerships to ensure that people seeking asylum aren't left in limbo.

The Government must work alongside local authorities and organisations working in this sector to ensure that the people affected are at the heart of the decision-making process. 👇
However, without clear alternatives, this announcement only risks deepening instability for people seeking sanctuary.
Many young people that we work with are housed in hotels, and without a robust transition plan, will cause setbacks in education, mental health, and community integration. 👇
🚨We welcome news that in the budget announcement, the Government committed to ending the use of asylum hotels by 2029.
This is a positive step forward towards reducing the reliance on hotels, with awful living conditions and segregation from society further exacerbating mental health and trauma. 👇
