I think dementia is like childbirth. People don't talk about the trauma, it's too hard. There's loads of shell-shocked people just walking around in utter pain.
My dad watched me be born 56 years ago today. Unusual back then. Today I rang him and reminded him I was his daughter and that he saw me being born. #dementia

The Public Health Nurse can be really helpful for practical things.
Facebook will more than likely have an Irish support group for whatever the condition is. Usual caveat applies but can be very helpful.
Horrific. Meanwhile the ambulances are lined up outside hospitals trying to hand over patients. Highly trained medics sitting twiddling their thumbs.
Aldi chocolate eggs are an acceptable car snack.
Would you rather read Ulysses or ChatGPT Facebook rants?
Apparently there's some €€ coat that has straps inside so you can slip the sleeves off your Big Coat and your coat hangs like a sort of back pack? Anyway my daughter got me to sew straps on hers and says it works great for Hot Shops etc. From Mam of a Gal About Town.

Penny wrapped in her sister's blanket. On a Xmas duvet.
Saw some Shetland ponies being walked around the park in town today. Taking the No Dogs For Christmas message seriously I guess.
Visited my younger brother last night. He has a friend whose life is so full of incident that my brother has set the ringtone for him to the drum beat from the Eastenders theme tune.
In the year my daughter was diagnosed with MS she gets Covid for Christmas - her absolute favourite time of year. She's waited months for the Stranger Things episodes starting now but has just woken to take painkillers and gone back to sleep.
It's not on, is it? It's just not on.
Gorgeous! Happy Christmas Fishface. Hope all good xx
Bloody hell. Happy Christmas to you all Nick xxx

Same, I've crocheted (Galway are knitted) and worn them for years. A draft hasn't hit me for a decade.
I paid £4 for a 500ml bottle of coke in WHSmith - W H Smith - WH Smith this week. If you type Smith a few times it looks wrong.

Not one, but two, cat cafes in Colchester.
A strange and pleasant land, indeed.
English youths are lovely. Definitely less sullen than our lads.
Although it pains me to say it.
I say groceries - it's crisps and the toiletries Ryanair would charge me 400 dollars to bring over.
Ordered a grocery delivery for myself for when I'm in England next week. The lads weren't exaggerating, they're being robbed over there.
Flying from knock airport in a couple of days and had to email them. They use a Gmail account. Adorable or terrifying?
This crochet project is abusing me.
I'm doing mosaic with both ends of a Scheepjes Whirl. Every half hour I have to stop and detangle myself.
