My dad watched me be born 56 years ago today. Unusual back then. Today I rang him and reminded him I was his daughter and that he saw me being born. #dementia

The Public Health Nurse can be really helpful for practical things.
Facebook will more than likely have an Irish support group for whatever the condition is. Usual caveat applies but can be very helpful.
