“Homeland” is one of the most fascist words imaginable. Anyone talking with a straight face about “the homeland” is a guaranteed psycho. Obama should have torn down DHS 20 years ago based on the name alone.
The fascist turn in this country doesn’t purely come from MAGA. It’s in the blue cities that purge the homeless. It’s in TERF politics. It’s in the belief in a “strong border” just with slightly more due process. It’s the disdain for red states full of disenfranchised people.
