This is a pretty silly distinction / common misconception but technically the Shy Guys on Yoshis Story in Melee are not “Fly Guys”.
Fly Guys have propellers on their heads. In Melee we have “Propeller Shy Guys”.

If you are having a new issue with your adapter not connecting to Dolphin, try closing Steam fully so it no longer shows up in your taskbar.
Steam has been rolling out an update which adds support for GC adapters and thus prevents Dolphin from using them.
Just released v3.5.1 which addresses some issues from yesterday's release.

Finished a 2 month long Slippi backend migration.
Hoping the changes lead to better reliability, improved security, lower costs, and less concerns about new features potentially overloading the servers.

I actually went once! I remember liking it tho it wasn’t amongst my favorites. But to be fair I only tried it once and maybe I would have preferred their other options.
I’ll give it another go if I’m out there again.
I’ve tried quite hard to find good vegan ramen in NYC and nothing has compared to my favorite spots in SF.
Best SF spots imo are Nojo, Mensho, and Hinodeya.
So far in NYC maybe Danbo is best but it’s not in the same tier.

Hax loved Melee and likely played more Slippi than anyone. It then feels apt to give him a permanent custom ranked profile page.

Yeah same. I just found myself being constantly in bad mental states after browsing Twitter and I felt like it was taking a toll.
I do think I feel significantly better not browsing it as much.

This also sets me up better to work on a ranked match history feature I've been wanting to work on for a while.
I was always a bit scared to do it because I wasn't sure if dgraph could handle the extra load that it will cause.
Just finished migrating a majority of the Slippi ranked reporting logic from dgraph to firestore.
I'm actually pretty excited about the prospect of migrating everything off of dgraph. I think it would improve speed, reliability, and cost. All big wins.
Slippi appears to be having some server issues at the moment. Looking into it.
May cause issues queueing, reporting, and probably other things too.
Honestly I don't understand the problem enough to know whether to blame Microsoft or Google (GCP) more in this case lol.
