Best case scenario, FC Cincinnati lost a coin flip yesterday against Toronto. But even if that's the case, there are still some flashing warning signs going off. My quick reaction:

βAnother underwhelming performance. The team is not good enough right now, and that's on me.β ~ Pat Noonan

Pretty sure polymarket doesnβt have to report suspicious betting patterns, which is how these two were found out.
Which is to say, if they did the same scheme again today using the leagueβs sponsor, theyβd be getting away with it
9 yellow cards and 23 red cards in a single match

But MLS wasn't worth a bid
Odd / interesting observation regarding the start of the @mls.bsky.social season --
Home teams are dominating bigly.
This weekend, the only road teams to win were playing against home teams that picked up a red card.
But does the new contract prevent them from putting him on the bench to start every season and trying to sell him in the winter before he goes on to become their most important player?
Don't mistake me answering the question with being an advocate for it, but isn't the answer Libya?
Preach
Back in 2023, I wrote this piece on the effectiveness of a new set of rules introduced in MLS Next Pro aimed at gamesmanship, how they came to be and why they were coming to MLS.
Now, after an IFAB vote, those rules will be in the World Cup.

Remember when Pat Noonan's teams refused to put their foot on the throat of opponents.
Seems those days are over.
Pointing this out every time I come across it is my cross to bear
FC Cincinnati has two spoons, not three
The Dado Era starts with a 2-0 victory
FC Cincinnati has been here for a long time now, but without a single post. Bummer
Gonna need you to cut it out and drink some of this delicious kool aide

Whew, MLS Comms hasn't noticed us yet
We live for another year
You have a manager who is able to get a collection of players to punch above their weight? NYCFC is always a weird team to me, and I do think it's fair to assume they'll be the 4ht or 5th best team in the conference every year, so they'll always be hanging around ha
Yeah these are good points and I think then, that would direct criticism to both Albright and Noonan for not building a better team and/or not getting these guys on the same page.
Help me reconcile:
1) Cincy is the second most talented team in the league
2) Cincy played horrible and the data suggests they were lucky to be competitive, let alone good
3) Pat Noonan is one of the best managers in MLS
At least One of these canβt be correct, right?
