I agree with the suggestions others have made, mainly reducing the load. I always find strength training tricky and if I get carried away during the session, I suffer the days afterwards. Sometimes less is more. I presume you’re doing knee friendly workouts.

6Γ—1km aerobic power today with 75s floats.

Thought it was a 4‑rep session… realised at the end of rep 4 there were two more. Classic πŸ™„

Included some intervals in today’s long run… not quite the Tokyo Marathon, but still a solid Sunday.

yeah it was great actually but odd for me given its February. I know many still run in shorts during winter, i'd rather keep my muscles warm

Strange conditions today, 16Β°C in February and the pollen’s already making my eyes itch. Some flowers are starting to bloom, so it makes sense. Ended up in shorts and a T‑shirt for my easy run, which feels wild for this time of year.

Yeah I’m glad they’ve survived, I did skip Sundays long run to test them. It was my fault to be fair, completely carried away at the gym on Saturday. Will show more restraint next time πŸ˜†

VO2 Max today, 4x4mins + recovery 3 mins). Glad I got it done as overdid it at the weekend in the gym and my hamstrings suffered the past few days. They certainly got back propelling me at 6:26/mile (4:00/km) pace today.

Wow 1,300 miles that’s great 😁
I like seeing how far a pair can go. I have a pair of Pegasus turbos over the 1,000 mile mark and still going strong, although i now only use them on easy runs or long muddy runs

That’s exactly what I found on this run, even with a short recovery time it recovered quickly and then got back into action on the next one interval

18.02.2026 14:21 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah I think you’re right. It allows your heart to change running zones quicker, so it ought to be a good thing
