I got a kitten yesterday. Meet 12 week old Nala 😻

But I do need to do something while listening, I mostly walk. If I just sit still while listening to an audiobook, I fall asleep within minutes. People talking makes me sleepy 😅

I have this thing, I don’t really like listening to books I haven’t already read myself. The exception to this rule is non-fiction and some classics I probably wouldn’t have picked up. I actually used to hate audiobooks, but I’ve realised they are really practical when unable to read.

Just reread Compass Rose (or this time listened) by Anna Burke. Still an amazing book. When I’ve finished the book I’m currently reading I’ll finally pick up Sea Wolf as well since I for some odd reason haven’t read it yet. Or well, it wasn’t released yet when I read Compass Rose the first time 😅

I read Against a Dark Background a couple of times in 2001 and now I just finished it on Audible. Still one of my favourite authors. Highly recommend all his books. This one is dark, very dark. If feelgood is what you’re after, then stay away.

This made me laugh. Something that’s just a basic thing here is a new trend where they actually have lines to some stores in the US. Here it’s in every grocery store, nothing fancy whatsoever. But you Americans need to learn that salty liquorice is amazing! It’s the best!

Read Goldenseal by Gill McKnight a few years ago, but didn’t continue the series until now. Glad I did because I really liked Ambereye (fun feelgood) and Indigo Moon (a bit more serious but still charming). Just started reading Silver Collar, certain I will enjoy that one as well.
