On one hand, Iβd much rather be super busy and pounding pavement than in a stalemate. On the other hand, Iβd appreciate more βagreement lawyersβ and less βdisagreement lawyers.β If best interest of the client is key, the hell are we doing jaw-jacking for no reason. π€¦πΌββοΈ

My wife and I have been scheduling golf dates on Saturday, and she played for the first time (a full 18 holes) recently. She did great!! I hate to say I was surprised but golf is hard as it is, and she just had a heyday.

Fall in love with procedural rules (civil, criminal, and appellate) because litigation is easier when you doβnot by much, but it can be enough to count.
Questions, comments, concerns?
Anyone think that Congress has taken the "necessary and proper" thing too far, in that they stuff every single "we couldn't pass an appropriations bill" with half-as**d and incomplete law to get themselves a "win"?
A couple, maybe . . . OP, message me and I'll send a few names once I get a few more details.
Congratulations to my Dad and greatest mentor for announcing his candidacy to be judge for the 173rd District Court in Henderson County, Texas
Any Illinois licensed attorneys I know on here do worker's compensation work? If so, would like to refer if at all possible. DM if so. Will forward as many as I receive.
I will be looking for a litigation associate at the end of this year. Would like 0-3 years of experience. But I don't have an idea on pay yet, just a heads up.
If you know someone interested--Texas barred, newly licensed, or bar taker--let me know by direct message.

My friend and Houston appellate guru Andrew Gould has started a substack about the Houston appellate courts which he calls 1910. It's very good. As I told him this morning, I cannot imagine how much work even this one post was.
