I always find the whole Lilith thing quite fascinating. It's interesting to see how someone has tried to make the two creation accounts match. I can't help but wonder if there were other Lilith myths kicking around beforehand that were lost. In the "on top" story, she already feels fully formed.

I love it when a scene just comes together nicely. I sat down this afternoon to bash out some dialogue between my paranormal investigator, Sam Spallucci, and a suspect in a murder, not knowing what the Dickens I should do. Then I saw the look on the suspect’s face and the dialogue flowed naturally.

A tired but happy walker waiting for the bus home 😊

I’ve just had a cracking few days up in the lakes. Lots of walking; quite a bit of chilling. A bath will be required tonight!

The texture of her hair made me think this was a painting at first. Great effect.

Okay, so here’s a weird question…
Has anyone reading this bought a shed load of my books this month? Loads of my titles seem to have sold in pairs.
Hands up if it was you so I can send you a virtual hug β™₯️

Jealous of the Brian Aldiss. I read one of his short story collections over Christmas and now need to acquire more of his work.

Another snap from the gorgeous Holy Trinity Church in Skipton.
I know there are two schools of thought about keeping statuary painted. Personally, I’m all for it, especially when it’s been completed so beautifully as here. β™₯️

So, just a bit excited.
When I walk up and down Lancaster Canal, I sometimes see the little train that goes between Lancaster and Leeds. Today I get to ride on that train and enjoy the glorious scenery of the Kier Valley.
Skipton, I am coming!!!!

I love Christmas cacti. My mum always had one when I was a kid and I’ve got a glorious one in the kitchen. I love how it burst into colour just as the weather gets gloomy.

I love hellebores. Fun fact, the baddie in the first Young James Bond novel was called Hellebore.

Had an early start today in the rain and the mud for my first proper long distance walk of the year β€” Kendal to Lancaster, down Lancaster canal.
My waterproofs are behaving admirably and I’m seeing so much beautiful wildlife.

I’m not normally one for the whole popular tourist location thing but I’ve just walked over Tower Bridge for the very first time and I was completely blown away.
It wasn’t just the impressive architecture but just the sheer happiness of everyone taking photos and the like. It was truly beautiful.
