Now, to coincide with Food Waste Action Week 2026, we are proud to announce that the team are launching a toolkit with the charity School Food Matters (@schoolfoodmatters.bsky.social) to help schools reduce their food waste!

Working with Food for Thought, a not-for-profit school meals provider in Liverpool, the project aimed to equip schools with evidence, practical tools and pupil-engaging methods to reduce food waste, improve sustainability and support healthy eating practices.

π§΅ Last year, Professor Charlotte Hardman, Lisa Didier and Natasha Bayes launched the Food Is Not Rubbish project which set out to explore and understand how schools can tackle the issue of food waste in the school dining room.
