I do think Hasbo is probably a little bit closer to McCaskill than people may think, but I think Sav fits what Gotham are looking for a little bit better from a physicality standpoint. Hasbo is tiny and I wonder if they’re worried about her being bullied a little bit in midfield
I think the Hasbo trade came from both the Savannah McCaskill signing and Sofia Cook probably getting a bigger role for 2026, which pushed Hasbo down to the bottom of the midfield depth chart. A shame because I liked Hasbo but I think this move works for all parties involved. #GothamFC #NWSL
Gotham FC has agreed to trade midfielder Josefine Hasbo to Boston Legacy FC, the club announced Thursday.
Gotham will receive $50,000 in allocation money in exchange for Hasbo, who helped the club capture the 2025 NWSL Championship during her rookie season.
