I appreciate that. I hadnβt seen this.
Yet another rewatch (anyone reading this will think Iβm way more invested than I am): Kyle notes she was just represented and not a lawyer in the case. True. Fair. But we lawyers also write in a a weird way that says Ms. x saysβ¦abc. But ms x didnβt say anything, the lawyer did. Idk. Im skeptical.
I rewatched this. So before, at, and to are all used. Iβm not committed to this, but my first parsing of this in the oral v written argument is this: at and to are quite ambiguous. Before is a little less so. But this is like what is better: super, incredible or great? I think this report is wrong.
If she said βargued in front of the courtβ rather than βto the courtβ I might agree. But I havenβt seen that. Itβs a genuine distinction.
Man I hate to do this, but Iβm an appellate attorney and I genuinely think sheβs in the right here. Whether I argue in briefs or in person, I think I generally say (to a lay audience) that I have βargued to the courtβ x, y, and z. I have no opinion on her, but I think youβre wrong on this one.
I sure do. And if you ever baked at altitude, you would too.
It sure does. Or did I miss the joke?
Trade him. And pick#1. Build an actual team.
Respectfully, this is wrong. He has absolutely zero national profile. But you could get rich in the betting markets if that happens.
Itβs the first time in my life that Iβve had the WORST option as my rep. I hate it so much.
Thereβs zero chance he gets reelected. I emailed him every day for months about this and what his next job will be. Thanks for the reminder to resume that.
βLetβs just break the law a little bit and see how it goes - at least itβll look goodβ is a genuine thing to consider, but the problem is weβre so much less likely to do that. It is sort of how the aca worked though.
Judge Goodwin: "An anonymous government is no government at all. It cannot be held accountable. A masked agent freely uses force without justifying his actions, and the public cannot name him to challenge his conduct. A regime of secret policing has no place in our society."
Iβd like to propose a way to repay the stolen money from βtariffs.β The βTrump Really doesnβt Understand Money or, honestly, anything, Particularly tariffs act.β The T.R.U.M.P. act, if you will.
Arguably it could be good news. Congress could say the only way to return the money is through such a mechanism, no?
Safe to say he won the race then?
Thanks to a crucial Supreme Court decision on its shadow docket that authorized immigration officers to racially profile people they thought might be undocumented, Operation Metro Surge saw officers target anyone β citizen or not β who wasnβt white for questioning, detention or, in many cases, brutal treatment. ICE began going door-to-door in predominantly minority neighborhoods to ask where residents were born, sometimes dragging them out of their homes at gunpoint. Officers indiscriminately fired pepper spray and tear gas at residents, including into the car of a family, hospitalizing a baby. βWhat that did was have an incredibly chilling effect on how people move about our communities,β said Richard Carlbom, chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. βThere are U.S. citizens who are Black, brown or Asian who wonβt leave their house and we have to deliver food to them on a weekly basis because theyβre afraid of being detained.β
One of my biggest fears about the midterms is that ICE could flood the polls with agents who perform Kavanaugh Stops on every non-white person before they get a chance to cast a ballot, then detain them until voting is over. Which is not far-fetched at this point. www.huffpost.com/entry/ice-po...
"If we have to follow the law and constitution we won't be allowed to break the law and violate the constitution" says man sworn to uphold the constitution.
Why is it blurred? Did they assault some children?
Nationwide injunctions were probably fine.
I donβt really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.
Iβll call it βlessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.β

OTOH this is how you get AI regulated
Jebus that embarrassing
Yeah cool cheers. But seriously touch grass and fly hawks fly.
Bro I donβt know what youβre on about. It feels like weβre in the same algorithm because Iβm a passing fan of Seattle sports. But you are taking everything all wrong.
The fuck you talking about? People who donβt appear in those files have a good claim. And then thereβs those who actually appear in opposition
No idea what this means. Anyways as much as these files implicate some people, they exonerate others.
