Yet another rewatch (anyone reading this will think I’m way more invested than I am): Kyle notes she was just represented and not a lawyer in the case. True. Fair. But we lawyers also write in a a weird way that says Ms. x says…abc. But ms x didn’t say anything, the lawyer did. Idk. Im skeptical.

I rewatched this. So before, at, and to are all used. I’m not committed to this, but my first parsing of this in the oral v written argument is this: at and to are quite ambiguous. Before is a little less so. But this is like what is better: super, incredible or great? I think this report is wrong.

If she said “argued in front of the court” rather than “to the court” I might agree. But I haven’t seen that. It’s a genuine distinction.

Man I hate to do this, but I’m an appellate attorney and I genuinely think she’s in the right here. Whether I argue in briefs or in person, I think I generally say (to a lay audience) that I have “argued to the court” x, y, and z. I have no opinion on her, but I think you’re wrong on this one.

One of my biggest fears about the midterms is that ICE could flood the polls with agents who perform Kavanaugh Stops on every non-white person before they get a chance to cast a ballot, then detain them until voting is over. Which is not far-fetched at this point. www.huffpost.com/entry/ice-po...
