That's about everything.

The plan is to re-watch the OVA again to ensure the new raws match up with the subs just fine, but the batch should definitely be up before the end of January for sure.

In short, the new raws are in much better quality and aim to preserve the colors as they were on the original BD.

And that's exactly what we did.

Here's a before-&-after comparison with the old raws. Not only were Bunny Hat's raws shown to be really compressed but even the colors were completely skewed, somehow?

And lastly—the biggest change IMO—we're using a new set of encodes for this project.

Originally, we were using raws posted by Bunny Hat. Old ones at that. Maybe they were good for its time, but I wondered whether it'd be possible to get better-looking raws...

On the topic of typesetting: the OP has now been typeset. It was, admittedly, basic throughout this whole project but @cosmicmaria.girlonthemoon.xyz has helped cook up something new & special for the OP 🫡

The introductory text in Ep. 1 past the OP is now typeset, too.

Firstly—typesetting's getting fixed. Fonts were changed a couple episodes in originally, but all episodes are actively being tweaked so that they all share the same fonts.

The fonts for the episode titles and on-screen foreign dialogue + signs are being updated too.

This release, despite being the last episode, is not actually the last you'll see of the Orguss 02 fansub project just yet.

A batch upload is currently being worked on, but we're introducing several new changes for all episodes in preparation for the final release.

Been a while since the last release, but rest assured this project has not been dropped. Ep. 6 is actively being worked on right now—we hope to release it soon.

There'll be some big changes coming to this project eventually but the details will be saved for a later point.

I'll still post on both sites, this is mainly for people who've abandoned Twitter for Bluesky. Only fansub release posts will go on here though, nothing more.
