A lot of what's happening in this country, specifically the GOP, makes sense, when you consider that politicians only behave differently when their voters demand it.

All of these assholes would vote differently, speak differently, etc. if their voters wanted it.

It's all on the voters. All of it.

I like the way some countries have Crisis of Confidence procedures that automatically trigger a vote for new government. WE NEED THAT HERE! We'll never be safe from GOP majority in government.

If only there was another war I could think of in recent memory involving the US in the Middle East, where regime change was promised, didn’t happen, victory was declared and then the whole thing was repeated catastrophically badly at a later date. 🤔
