In our first year cluster course we pair it with Fanon, and the students make superb connection.

Will let you know if it passes!
At least he kept his head down following behind the orange excuse for a human. Gross indeed.
Required human rights strategies from World Cup hosts are also overdue.
"Given FIFA’s history of human rights abuses... it’s alarming that only a few committees have made their human rights plans public" — @kendraphlcouncil.bsky.social, @tiffanycaban.bsky.social, @jackiefielder.bsky.social
Terrific! Will let you know if the proposal passes! 🤞
Omg. Wow. What a way to dim his star.
There's no plan to prevent human trafficking during LA's megaevents and the World Cup starts in 100 days.
I talked to survivors, advocates, legal advisors, academics, and elected officials who are all sounding the alarm about how this will put LA's most vulnerable communities in even more danger
The Olympics aren’t for us.
Check out the first video in our series about the greedy elites behind LA28.
The total lack of care and concern for WAFCON is starting to appear as not a bug but a deliberate feature.
An empty football pitch in Sidi Ifni, Morocco
Me, looking for the women’s game in Morocco. 🇲🇦
unbelievable, and yet you know someone‘s palm was greased and pockets filled. And it isn‘t the players.
It’s death by a thousand cuts to the women’s game in Africa. This isn’t an either/or, we can simultaneously be appalled and outraged over the upcoming MWC on US soil and be equally infuriated over Morocco/CAF nonchalance with the women’s game. They don’t deserve 2030. BIAD, seriously.
I don’t even have words to express how infuriating this is. Shame on CAF, shame on the King, shame on the Moroccan fed. Shame shame shame.
Yes, I blame the King. That’s where I normally land on these things.
2030 already has dates into July which is concerning. July and August are the hottest months of the year. What are we doing?
Can we also talk about what the temperature is like in Morocco in July and August? Is this just another attempt to put in hydration breaks for commercial gains?
I don’t even have words to express how infuriating this is. Shame on CAF, shame on the King, shame on the Moroccan fed. Shame shame shame.
If your book only addresses men’s tournaments, it isn’t a story of football or FIFA. Why do we continue to tolerate the men’s game as the only, and singular, narrative?

Metro Announces Hat Trick for FIFA World Cup 2026 ™ By Offering Enhanced Service, Affordable Parking, Celebratory Customer Experience LOS ANGELES (March 4, 2026)- When FIFA World Cup 2026 M kicks off in Los Angeles in just 100 days, Metro will be ready to help fútbol fanatics score winning service to all eight matches. As the official public transit provider for the Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host City, Metro will ensure fans get to and from these unforgettable matches safely, sustainably and seamlessly. "Metro is the smartest, safest, easiest, and most fun way to get to the World Cup," said Fernando Dutra, Metro Board Chair and City of Whittier Council Member. "Instead of paying for some of the most expensive stadium parking or sitting in traffic, people can focus on what matters most - celebrating the love of soccer with fellow fans from around the world while going to and from the games." With Angelenos being joined by fans from around the world for the eight matches being played in Los Angeles and limited parking availability at Los Angeles Stadium, Metro and its regional transit partners will provide affordable and direct service from key rail stations and locations throughout the region including:
Crenshaw Station • Downtown Long Beach • El Camino College • Harbor Gateway Transit Center • Hawthorne/Lennox Station • LA Union Station • LAX/Metro Transit Center Station • North Hollywood Station • Pierce College Additional locations will be announced in the coming months. Metro's World Cup Service will get fans to the Los Angeles Stadium up to three hours before kickoff and the last service will depart up to 90 minutes after the match ends. Fares for the enhanced service will be the same as regular Metro fares, $1.75 one-way and $3.50 round-trip. Parking reservations are now available, and pricing will differ by location. Early-bird pricing is currently in effect, ranging from $55 - $95, plus a service fee. Compared to the other parking pricing where rates will be more than two and three times the Metro rates, fans are encouraged to make their plans and book early for discounted Metro parking rates. Visit metro.net/worldcup for additional information.
Metro is announcing Hollywood Bowl-style park-and-ride shuttle service from nine locations (with more to be announced) for LA's World Cup matches. $1.75 each way! But parking will cost a bit more. They're using borrowed buses from other local transit agencies.

“There are questions to be asked about why men's international friendlies are taking precedent ahead of the WAFCON…while Morocco knew about hosting the tournament during this window for two years... why are these conflicts only becoming apparent now?”

Also it looks like Canada is attempting to mace the US which makes absolute sense to me.
Utter disrespect to Baja.
