It felt like 75% of that quarter involved Jalen Brunson dribbling.

This game reminds me of the Spurs-Thunder Christmas game. Wemby owned the rim on defense, while the Spurs guards went right at the physical Thunder defenders over and over.
Vital reporting by @jaredweissnba.bsky.social on why All-Star Weekend tickets are so expensive. Even in today's age of absurd ticket prices, this floored me. www.nytimes.com/athletic/704...
Give this a livelier venue and we're really in business.
nah because you can still get those high highs and you want to build to that. 3 point is more reliable. i like starting with it
That dunk contest was fine. Usually, it's fine. Sometimes, it's really good, but usually it's fine. And that's fine www.nytimes.com/athletic/liv...
No other place you should be today www.nytimes.com/athletic/liv...
Actually, here's the only place you need to go to be up to date on the trade deadline www.nytimes.com/athletic/liv...
Let's just say that I would not be the guy to trade for Trae Young and Anthony Davis because their value has crept so low.
Doesn't mean I'm right or anything, but I have never been a fan of those sorts of "sure, it costs nothing" moves. There is always an opportunity cost.
In this case I'd say forget Bluesky too but that felt rude
Forget Twitter. Here's the only place you need to go to be up to date on the trade deadline. www.nytimes.com/athletic/liv...
NBC undercard is over, time for the real main event.
Breaking news: Dennis SchrΓΆder has been traded a lot www.nytimes.com/athletic/liv...
Did the Nets think the NBA got rid of the corner 3?
The Athletic is hiring a new womenβs basketball reporter β come work with me and @chanteljennings.bsky.social! jobs.lever.co/theathletic/...
All four Pistons-Celtics games have been outstanding. Great contrast in styles. Would make for a hell of a playoff series.
We recently tested ~ a dozen public statements from a diverse set of Democratic elected officials on the murder of Renee Good and this was the top testing one
What's it like for Victor Wembanyama to:
-Present a PowerPoint to you
-Watch film of your performance
-FaceTime you and your infant son
-Pull up to your practice, then stay for two hours
@jaredweissnba.bsky.social on the Jackals, the community that Wemby built.

Very excited for tomorrow's @jaredweissnba.bsky.social feature to come out on @theathletic.com. He's been working on this one for a long time.
.@davidaldridgedc.bsky.social, being absolutely correct.
Whatβs it like to eat at arguably Berlinβs finest restaurant, with the Orlando Magic, while the Pinot flows (at my table) and a soft, heavy snow blankets the streets outside?

Wemby vs. Chet is the most intense, bitter, hilarious individual grudge match that one guy refuses to acknowledge and the other guy did nothing to provoke. Itβs amazing.
Also if you watch OKC's off-ball movement, they've done a great job of drawing Wemby out of the paint, then keeping everyone moving to distract him from helping on subsequent drives.
OKC seems to have baited Wemby into making this a one-on-one matchup.
Someone's gotta make one of those mirror image videos with MJ, KD and either of those two Wemby fadeaways
That Wemby leg kick that went viral earlier this week?
@jaredweissnba.bsky.social did some digging. Turns out it was far from a spur of the moment thing (pun intended). He actually trained for it with a master.

We were always planning to release this @justesbaraheni.bsky.social video today. Chose the topic a couple weeks ago when it appeared Trae's days in ATL might be numbered by the trade deadline. Then, Es and our crew did all the work.
Then, we got lucky
Anyway, enjoy

The potential downside comes in that gray area between "work out" and "doesn't work out."
Dubious about Trae. Feels like chasing a sugar high when the idea was to be patient and build organically. Timing feels off considering the strides the young guys have made recently.
Might work. Understand the distressed asset side of this. But those moves are often the most dangerous ones to make
