I really like the colours on this one!

Coastal pasture covered in snow On foreground is isolated group of trees and on background forest limits the pasture. Lights of the city can be seen in the horizon. Sun has just set, so sky and snow are colored in hues of dark blue. Trees are only black silhouettes. On the sky Jupiter is visible over the group of trees at the foreground.

A tram is crossing a lit bridge. Sun has already set but it is not completely dark, last remains of light can be seen beyond the tram. The bridge crosses a frozen bay. Beyond the tram is also an office block, from looks of it, build in the 1970's.

I just learned about Irys photos. It is too early to say if it is good or not, but its principles sound right.

Absolutely yes, especially if you are not photographing anything moving (too) fast or try to print very large images. I used my 350D few years ago and it was still OK for slow paced photography.

Layers of a city at sunset. Picture is composed of layers of silhouttes: on foreground are some reeds, on the middle ground is protected costal grove and frozen bay. Finally, on the background are high-rise office buildings, cranes and a chimney of a thermal power plant whit smoke rising from the chimney. Clouds and the sliver of sky that is visible are hues of orange, painted by setting sun. It is cold evening in mid-winter so bay is frozen and what little colors are visible are cold.

Rising sun colors low clouds to red, high clouds still have hints of dark blue night colors. A small hole in the clouds reveals blue sky. Sky is reflected to the calm sea, covered with a thin layer of ice next to the pier.
