the entirety of #massachusetts should have this mindset especially with a private company owning our grid right now charging extremely high rates. We gotta get away from big private corporations owning our grids, and green energy is how we do it, both to save money & for the environment

#boston looking at you. If you replace a gas station with apartments, that shouldn't even be considered controversial. #jamaicaplain got eyes on you. Stop blocking change & progress. Let ppl live in our city, and let our city grow and evolve. Gas stations are not shrines to be kept as a museum

WIN: My office secured a court order requiring the Trump Admin to comply with a previous order restoring billions in disaster funding.

Communities across the country desperately need this relief.

I will always stand up for the safety and security of our residents.

They sued multiple times in various ways trying to stop the project then the trump administration tried to stop it but also failed so now it's almost complete finally. Shouldn't be this hard to improve the world

Here in #boston we had a offshore wind project constantly stalled by rich ppl off Martha's vineyard saying it would hurt their view....this project will power over 400,000 homes and a few ppl saying they are concerned about their view with their beachfront home in their 10 million dollar home...

Even tho environmentally and even if another product is better...if a company that currently owns a market can squash new stuff they will...it's exhausting

Certain things that require actually understanding true impact in the long term it feels like America has lost the ability to do. Materials and how we utilize them are a big one. End of the day it's all about how ppl can make more money and control that money flow as long as possible

Extremely effective and high throughput but now we just slap a bus in it's place and call it done instead of saying what is our 50 or 100 year long term plan...buses aren't the long term solution but our leaders act like they are.

Here live in a bubble and can't imagine anything better so when someone brings different ideas or grand visions up of what we should aim for ppl instantly shut down. For example Boston use to have trains connecting everything in the city

Foot to act like our designs are the best...can't be like those Europeans! Tbh I just feel like certain industries have a monopoly on resources and block progress so they can't continue making money no matter the damage kit does in the long run. It's frustrating tbh. Feels like most ppl

07.03.2026 12:04 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Then how our trains are designed... instead of basing designs off of European designs we just keep doing what we do because we think we know best. American pride is more like American ignorance or maybe it's a mix of both. Too proud to admit others have better designs so we shoot ourselves in the

I find it's similar ignorance around all of the USA when it comes to change. Can't build anything above 4 or 5 stories in many parts of Boston because ppl think it's too tall...we need 20 story apartments next to our train stations but ppl complain about their view or too many ppl

its a mix of various sources put together and cross referenced - its not an article just stuff i end up looking into. Here are the reference lists...sorry they're small i just didn't' want to take a ton of screenshots i'm lazy sometimes

longer survey than expected, but good. I'd recommend when talking about parking in it, if you're gonna ask about parking you need to include a bike parking option because the assumption that a car is most important shouldn't be primary. It'd be sweet to have actual protected bike parking inside

more ppl walking the streets, the more our businesses will get foot traffic. Ain't no one incentivized to drive into a city to go to a cafe or book store when they could just walk there. Driving in the city sucks, walking, biking, trains, buses incentivize ppl to build community too, cars segregate

Car man flynn constantly fighting to keep any sort of improvements to pedestrian infrastructure from happening. More parking garages, more car lanes, more on street parking, widen streets for cars...is this dude paid by the car lobby at this point? Boston makes its money from ppl not cars

The rich will never help unless forced to. That security is most likely coming from public sources, Kraft what i'd read was supposed to back stop it and would be reimbursed for it if something happened, i don't know why he's making such a big deal about it. Stands to potentially make up to $70 mil

Hell the French have entire bike races down snowy mountains. Bikes can go anywhere a car can. Only difference is we clean streets for cars and not the bike lanes for bikes

1 billion dollars a day, that means we could potentially fully fund healthcare, high speed rail, schools literally in every single state...we just choose not to. We have to assume that this will go on for a year, if so that is 365 BILLION dollars going towards war ON TOP of the 1 trillion already

TBH culture does need to change - but first steps could be keep street cleaning year round. Get rid of space saving entirely. I saw someones car with a note on it and a piece of metal through the rear window yesterday. Ppl thinking they own street parking because they dug out their car is stupid tbh

Bob Kraft who stands to make bank on this event can't spend the money out of his billions of dollars...poor baby :( whatever respect i may have had for him is completely out the door, honestly makes me not wanna watch the patriots

title seems misleading to me though - "easing fire safety rules" sounds like we're making things more dangerous. Doesn't sound like NYT actually understands the purpose judging by the title. Can't read it don't have a subscription :(
