My speciality, I suppose! (Just sharing Ryan's thread in case that "wet-blanket" framing helps anyone else in their mentoring — or their personal thinking around scope & sustainability. My newer advice on the latter front, brought home to me through chronic illness = "Start as you mean to go on.")

In all the years I’ve known @brettbobley.bsky.social, he never let me buy him so much as a cup of coffee. Maybe now, Brett? (In fact, *every* civil servant I worked w/at NEH & IMLS operated from an ethical position that should make America proud—& light our way back. They go out w/heads held high.)
