Pictures showing 60% Democrats and 40% Republicans in a state. The example in the middle shows what happens with Fair District maps. Democrats win. The example in the right shows what happens with gerrymander districts. Republicans win. The population in the state hasn't changed, the only thing that changed is unfair gerrymandered District lines are unfair to voters.
Gerrymandering.
There are more Democratic voters than Republicans, but District maps are Crooked.
With Gerrymandered Districts, even if equal percentages of D and R voters turn out to vote, the result is more Republicans in the Texas Legislature than Democrats.
