Before I went on break I actually DID start scripting and gathering footage for an attempt to make the "ultimate douser guide video" but at the same time wanted to persuade people into giving it a try but Iβd rather wait until it gets massive changes

I know at this point itβs just beating on a dead horse but itβs insane to think about how many problems get alleviated if Splatoonβs map design issue gets fixed
I see a lot of these aoe slop concerns and part of the problem is most maps only give you a 10-20 degrees off angle
They didnβt expect this Vendetta ult tech heheh, then ofc I fumble at the end like an actual fraud

Still very grateful they added my favourite weapon in the game, almost at 5-6k wins total now after 2 years :D
This now allows you to have to choice of deepening your aggro even harder (still with the same downsides turret mode always has plus ink consumption) but more importantly with the increased distance gives you a DISENGAGE option that is still punishable and predictable
Just to elaborate my goal is to give the weapon a stronger reward for getting in by giving it an optional to actually get out, turret mode rn has a pure feast or famine design of its a FULL commitment you get the kill or you die
If I had to mini rework Douser Dualies this is along the lines of the direction I would go
This is less about the numbers and more giving the weapon a stronger identity, Iβm curious what people think of this as baseline idea
I still have so many theory crafting ideas with douser I hope to share one day but no one to share them with π
I dont think Iβll ever be the one to prove it but im very confident I can coach it (Iβve done so already)
Iβm happy I never joined a team or a friend group or a true community in the splatoon space

Sometimes to move forward you need to move backwards so Iβll be focusing more on getting back into my former home of comp Overwatch and my real life.

Itβs such a bs anti competitive reason why itβs damage canβt get buffed, that reference is literally the only reason too because why does it even have a .5 decimal itβs in damage number I think itβs the only weapon that has that

Have you seen stuff like if someone tries to hide in their own booyah/strikes you can still see them through it because of the healthbar, itβs like a small indirect nerf to those specials
Apparently itβs been a thing since 3rd kits and the new hydra kit causes the problem specifically but Iβm still a backline (for some reason) so itβs weird

Health bars are such a MASSIVE improvement for burst bombs, I feel like I can be a lot more decisive on where I should throw them and itβs just more clear if I actually hit a 25, 35, 60

Douser is so trash after the patch itβs actually went from needs buffs to like needs a mini rework at this point if the game direction is gonna keep going like this π₯
I think both worlds are so possible
Itβs like with opening gambit too that ability is either gonna be irrelevant or what if you have a really good opening with that and flow state you could just raid boss the entire lobby
Splatoon 3 massively needed them to experiment more and get more risky especially in this stage of the game Iβm pretty sure this is them testing for Splatoon 4 with a version of cooler basically being a game mechanic instead of a special (thank god)
