Found this lemon balm growing in the alley - rooting it to plant on the balcony for tea. So much free food growing wild everywhere!

Chickweed is my favorite spring green - tasty and sooooo easy to grow! I pull it out of a crack in the sidewalk, cut off all the dog pee leaves lol, then just cram it in a planter and leave it alone. No care required! The more I eat, the more it grows!

Didn't get to forage like I wanted this past weekend, but I did at least grab a few pheasant backs/dryads saddles/Cerioporus squamosus. Cooked and ate them in a casserole last night. Ahhhh the Morel consolation prize 😆

My goal for the growing season is to grow most of my produce on my balcony and forage the rest. I think tomatoes will be the biggest yield so that will be the main focus. And I can forage ALL of my greens and mushrooms. I'll be posting about it in case others want to learn how to forage.

I have not broken my promise of not shopping at corporate stores, not even once!! This is a major accomplishment for this (former) Target addict! My money is now spent almost 100% within my diverse community at smaller businesses. Yay ☺️

I don't know who needs to hear this, but don't waste your time arguing with protest nonvoters or people who consistently only pop up to complain AFTER the election. It will only be a frustrating circular conversation. You will make no logical headway.
