I would agree... and i've never played anything with lootboxes, or at least not that i'm aware of, or engaged with in any way myself, but i guess to anyone upset about this whole thing, where is the outrage and clamoring for regulating these physical assets as gambling? Or is there and I'm unware?

If anything, a number of those look similar to 3DO controllers. Which of course... were never all that great. 🤷‍♂️

Sure when a creepy jester looking weirdo does it, it's all heaps of praise. But when superman wants to fly through rings everyone throws a fit. 🫠

Yeah, if it's a machine i have hooked up, i do this mostly. Some people say it can stretch out the gap between the pins... but i don't pretend to care. 🤷‍♂️

And if it's not hooked up, it's in my closet... probably accumulating dust... but hey, that's how it goes.

😡

Actually i probably wouldn't even use a dust cover lol

Well i mean... that's just an inherent side effect of the "reference quality" if i understand the jargon correctly. 😆

Ouch, pretty sure that blows even analogue away. 🤨

As a life-long primarily PC gamer, who played a lot of old emulation with just keys... yes, it's the worst. 🫠

I mean that's on top of absurdly long wait times, which is what turned me off from them before they started having problems with every other release. 🫠

Way to screw us early adopters. Suing. Wait for it. You'll be hearing from my guy about this travesty.

I'm generally not a bandwagoner, and people can spend their money however they want... but WTF is wrong with that company? It's just controversy after controversy with their releases. Who is still buying from them?

It *might* beat the colecovision plug. Maybe...

Also... from context, it was exactly what i assumed. 😆

I'm glad you asked what it was. I mean i was going to... but then i felt from the context, that even asking might inherently put one in the running for being one. 🤷‍♂️

Lol... I also have one of these. This sounds like a disaster. I mean, in a pinch, i guess it could be done, but damn, that is going to be tough to do without burning and sticking, and fun to clean after. 😅

I mean i want as much darkness during my waking hours as possible, i absolutely hate sunlight. But at least up where i live, in the summer it can still be light out as late as like 9pm... that's just unnecessary.

Yeah, but if i recall correctly, they fixed it the wrong way, where they wanted horrible daylight saving time all the time instead of standard time. Could be wrong on that, but that is what i recall.

🫠 Yeah, they only went cheaper with them over time... or so I am told.

If that's a model M, my dad apparently is one of the leading restorers of them. Apparently it's a whole thing, cleaning, screwing stuff in, replacing rivets or something... i dunno much about it, but he has like 100 of them.

So here is the thing... i recognize that old man with the red gem belt buckle thing, and i had a hammerhead shark guy that went with those characters... but I've never heard of dino riders, and have no idea WHY i had these toys or where they came from.

Yeah... we get it blizz 🤨

That is indeed rough. I've never seen anyone invert the X axis for anything.

I oddly used to play fps games... on PC with a mouse, with inverted Y for YEARS. I played them less over time and played other games, and got used to normal somehow - i can't pinpoint when this happened.

I mean i've heard many people who do disagree, and i can respect that, I just can't get on board. Again, shorter games are fine, but price accordingly... I say. 🤷‍♂️

I generally wait for sales anyway as well though.

You know why you do it... for the love of the game (the game being hunting down and fixing old parts - not actual games)!

I dunno, for XP, i just went straight for the highest end cards with low power demand. Only for 98 am i dicking around with old stuff... and I really have no idea why 🤷‍♂️

I am not knowledgeable enough, nor do i play enough stuff from the era to know, but i've used both a 750ti and an R9 270x in my xp builds and either is fine, with potentially specific nvidia or amd issues with any given game. Used the R9 machine recently to play drakan with no issues. 🤷‍♂️

I agree with wanting a game to respect my time... but i also want it to respect my dollar. 60+ dollars for a 10 hour game, is a lot to ask. As a general rule i want an hour per dollar... i can except .5hr/$ if the game is really good.

Shorter games are fine, but need to be priced accordingly imo

Keep seeing them, keep wanting it, know i would NEVER use the damn thing.

I'm right there with you, thinking basically the same word for word.

It's the way to go.

I mean yeah, the click of both pushing a phsyical disk in and pushing the button to eject it are pretty satisfying... but nothing else about it is all that great.
