Campaigners outside SSE's offices in Glasgow holding a banner which reads: "Stop Berwick Bank"

Today we gathered outside SSE's Glasgow office to urge them to stop the Berwick Bank offshore wind farm.

Together we delivered a petition signed by 12,500 people opposing this damaging project.

A Long-tailed Tit is captured mid-flight, silhouetted against the golden light of a rising sun. Its delicate wings are fully outstretched, glowing amber at the edges as the sunlight filters through. The blurred outline of trees forms a dark contrast in the background, framing the bird’s graceful ascent. A perfect moment of movement and light, reflecting the lengthening days of early spring.

Brighter mornings, a lighter step, and a Long-tailed Tit soaring towards spring...

Happy #FlyDay!

A fantasy parody inspired by The Hobbit. Stylised mountains rise beneath a red sun while several Hobbies fly overhead. The title reads The Hobbies, with the author jokingly credited as “J.R.R. Toucan”. A forest and river in the foreground complete the adventurous landscape.

A hand-drawn, childlike illustration parodying Gulliver’s Travels. A Gull walks along carrying a stick over its shoulder with a small red bundle tied to the end, like a traveller setting off on an adventure. A tiny Swift silhouette flies beside the author name in a playful pun on Jonathan Swift.

A bold fantasy-style parody titled Fourth Wings. In front of a golden sunrise, silhouettes of birds of prey circle overhead while a central bird shape stands dramatically framed by a glowing emblem, mimicking the epic fantasy book cover artwork originally graced with dragons.

A stylised black-and-white illustration inspired by The Midnight Library. A tall building resembling a library stands at the centre while a dramatic flock of birds bursts upward from the roof and windows, as though the stories inside have taken flight into the night sky.

A humorous take on Stephen King’s Cujo. The dark, ominous book cover features the title in bold white lettering. Instead of a terrifying dog, a small, round Wren perches on a branch in the centre, staring intensely at the viewer, making the horror aesthetic comically disproportionate.

A whimsical parody of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It’s #WorldBookDay!

Admittedly, not a particularly bird-related day.

Don’t worry. We’ve fixed that by asking RSPB staff to redesign their favourite book covers… with birds. 📚

A Jay peeks curiously from behind a moss-covered log, its head tilted slightly forward as if caught mid-move in a game of hide and seek. Its soft brown feathers blend into the earthy surroundings, while the black streak near its eye and pale crown stand out. The bright green, blurred background makes the Jay’s inquisitive expression even more charming...like it’s just spotted you first!

Also known as the Worm Moon, it marks the shift in seasons as the soil warms, earthworms re-emerge, and nature awakens.

It has many other names including: Lenten, Plough, Crow, & Sap Moon.

This #WorldWildlifeDay, journey across our wild isles: from salt-sprayed cliffs to bluebell woods, hushed wetlands to windswept moors...our landscapes alive with iconic wildlife.

Yet too many species are being pushed to the brink.

Together, we can change that. 💚

Many MPs claim to care about nature.

Tomorrow afternoon will be the test.

On Tuesday 3rd March there will be a debate in Parliament on red lines for nature.

We’ll be watching to see who shows up. Empty seats will say a lot.
