I'm no fan of the Iranian regime. But they're not idiots. They're prepared for this. The us and Israel are not prepared for a large scale war and the millions it'll kill and thousands upon thousands of troops that'll die.

Right now they're sending out cheap missiles and drones to exhaust hugely expensive air defenses in the region. Once they're exhausted the big bombs start coming. It's just a mess. A stupid stupid mess.

I can only think the US wants to bolster Russia with the inevitable hikes in oil to help them finance Ukraine war efforts in an attempt to weaken the EU after they've run rings around US tariffs and made deals elsewhere. I don't think that'll work either tbh and will only accelerate US isolation.

Iran is the world's 34th largest economy with 90m people, double the population of Iraq. They've never been fully colonized and their topography is practically impenetrable for a ground invasion. Air strikes aren't going to cut it, even strategic nukes mightn't. They're no pushovers. It's madness.
