Some moss of some sort that resembles a cluster of starburst shaped flowers in shades of yellow and green
Some grey lichen that looks like fine pebbles is growing on a pinkish rock next to grey-green and brown lichens that looks like fine like blobby flowers
A more detailed shot of the grey pebble-like lichen reveals that the larger βpebblesβ have little holes. There is a pretty golden lichen growing too with a similar texture
Some green moss growing on a pinkish and grey rock along with more of the grey pebble lichen
macro shots of some lichen/moss colonies that grow on the rocky banks of the crooked river
going to a late night IMAX showing of Princess Mononoke tonight and it couldnβt happen at a better time
The thing about AI and this mindset that it allows those who βcanβt drawβ to draw is that is a lie. I taught college level courses on drawing and met multiple students who grew leaps and bounds in their drawing skill sets because they wanted to and took the time to try
Everyone can learn to draw
reading again and listening to audiobooks has been such a joy. iβm trying to stick with nonfiction for audiobooks and fiction for my physical books, and itβs been a nice divide of my attention
audiobook cover of Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest by Suzanne Simard. there is an old tree trunk covered in light green lichen and moss with a small conifer growing in front of it
big time enjoying the audiobook read by the author - i had no idea it was going to be so fungal, but itβs so perfect after the last 4 books i listened to

A tree - possibly an ent - with legs, arms and an unusually large bellybutton.
Had to clamber over a barbed wire fence, rip my coat and trespass to get a photo of this folkloric monster pretending half-successfully to be a tree. I have no regrets.
