It depends on the event really. US election last year, from memory, saw about 4 million+ on election day.
Big days on the business and federal politics blogs would be 300,000+ but it varies.
The biggest blog I ever oversaw was the Matildas beating France at the World Cup, which was 1 million+.
There are a few things worth noting:
*The NRL outperformed the AFL on the big days, but overall AFL was consistently more popular in the regular season
*Blogs live and die on what happens, rather than relying on a 'regular viewer' mentality like TV
Our live blog schedule can move with the wind a bit - this year we did the Canada v USA ice hockey and it was our biggest performer so far, so I think the 'other' category is always interesting ... (2/3)
