It starts out with 'military assistance' to a combat zone and then before you know it, it's boots on the ground and then conscription and then you're bogged down in a war with no end in sight per se. That was Vietnam, now we're repeating the mistake with the Middle East #auspol

Hailey is at 10 percent of her goal.

Can we get her to 15 percent? If a bunch of folks kicked in $5 to $10, we'd be there.

A highly detailed, digitally colorized close-up portrait of the pioneering physicist and chemist Marie Curie. She is looking directly into the camera lens with an incredibly intense, intelligent, and focused expression. The fingers of her left hand are gently resting against her cheek and neck. She has curly, textured brown hair pulled back loosely. She is wearing a dark blue, utilitarian dress with fine vertical pleats on the shoulder. The warm, realistic skin tones and soft lighting of the colorization process give this historic archival photo a highly modern, lifelike feel. Original archival photograph by Henri Manuel. Digital colorization by Seriously Scientific.

Remembering Marie Curie on International Women's Day!

Marie spent years working in a dank, leaky shed boiling down tons of toxic pitchblende to extract a 0.1 grams of pure radium.

She physically proved that atoms break apart, laying the exact foundation for cancer treatments! β˜’οΈπŸ”¬

Two scientists walk through a cluttered old-fashioned science laboratory.

The female scientist says
β€œAnalogue instruments! Paper records! Chalk boards! I thought you'd agreed to modernise the laboratory?”

The male scientist replies
β€œThat's what i'm so excited about: we have moved to cloud-based storage for our data!”

They step out onto a balcony. She says:
β€œPlease tell me you haven't built a library zeppelin”

This is exactly what he has done. It floats across the sky and he adds
β€œIt's got a fax machine!”

I met Albo many years ago & the man I met then was a different person from the joker who's PM now. Politics obviously changes people, or rather people let politics change themself and their values & it's always the people who suffer as a result. Still its sad to say the alternative is far worse

If the Iranian Navy was destroyed then how could there be an Iranian Navy vessel in the Indian Ocean, in international waters, for the US to sink?

I've been subscribed to Jane's Patreon for years and it is amazing. She posts so many amazing recipes and artworks and it's pure inspiration.

Rent is due and she's running short. She only needs a small number of people to sign up as annual supporters of her Patreon β€” can you be one of them? <3

Do not say "we support the people of Iran" when you back the pedophile & genocider who is bombing them. It isn't going to win you fucking brownie points. If anything it shows you cannot read the room. #auspol

US bombing Iran is Mossadegh all over again. It didn't work then & it will not work now. Strangely though the Obama strategy did produce results...Israel didn't like it & nor did the Pedophile of the US. That is why people have died. To protect a pedophile & a genocider

01.03.2026 07:54 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I think you also need to consider the fact that the people who were bombed are more likely to ally with the regime now than with the people bombing them. If Iran is smart it will make what concessions to achieve that very fact. Regardless the US will not be liked or loved.

Translation:

If Russia really was a superpower, it wouldn't need China and North Korea in order to survive.
Russia is no longer a superpower, but a nation with a large military and questionable competence in using them.
