That's the first thing I thought of when I heard about the shooting. The inhuman ways the health insurance industry avoids covering a claim is often, in the long run, more expensive. A minor medical problem left untreated becomes a major problem, both more expensive and also more serious.
I would appreciate comments about why in so many countries today's governments closely resemble the governments of the 1930's.
