I would argue that the case for dismantling ICE has, at this point, virtually nothing to do with larger questions of immigration enforcement and reform, it's just clearly incompatible with a free and democratic society to maintain a secret police force with sweeping and arbitrary authority.

When a handful of far-right voices complained about equality measures being pushed by the Biden admin re gadding treatment of trans people under sex discrimination laws in accord with precedent, we got years of nonstop reporting on how aggressive the Biden admin was in advancing trans rights.

its so weird to me when reporters are like "here's the challenges of Trump running Venezuela" when clearly he's not and has no way to run Venezuela? there are no troops there? the Government says he's not, so why is this not covered as a fantasy of a weird old man?
