Trevor Bauer served up a 594 foot home run today and has the highest ERA in the NPB. That home run is the longest in recorded history, here it is
the number of sexual assault victims that have had no choice but to back off when told in no uncertain terms their attacker has a right to know and face their accuser and these jackboot government goons get to stay in the shadows?
If you haven't used Duckduckgo (or haven't used it in a while) why not give it a shot (or another one)? I'm not sure what extent I'd attribute it Google getting worse or DDG getting better but... it's better!

All of this reporting on government officials who can't figure out signal or venmo or whatever is great, but it also feels deeply indebted to the work @ashleyfeinberg.bsky.social, the GOAT
I canβt say I share this obsession but I did once see Zwan at the Glass House once. I think it was their first or second show ever? It was fun!

I want to address a thing about my personal life that has, to my surprise, recently ended up in the news: As you mightβve already heard, my father (Jeffrey Ferguson) is currently on trial for having shot and killed his wife, Sheryl Ferguson (my step mom). You can search his name if you want more info about that. Yesterday, the trial began with the prosecutionβs opening statement. Hereβs an excerpt from one such story recapping it: The couple sparred about Ferguson's 37-year-old son, Kevin, from his first marriage, who was still depending on his father financially, Hunt said. Ferguson and Sheryl had been together for about 20 years, Hunt said. "They had that argument about finances, about Kevin, about purchases he wanted to make,'' Hunt said. At one point during the dinner, Ferguson mimicked a gun with his hand and pointed at her, Hunt said. To be clear: my family and I werenβt βdependingβ on any family members at the time and still arenβt. In Summer of 2023, the adoption process had just begun for our daughter. We faced a lot of new expenses and a reduction in income because of the time we took off for parental leave. Ahead of use were more expenses to come from enrolling our daughter in preschool so that we could return to work. My wife and I asked my dad and step mom for a little help in Summer of 2023 to help cover our daughterβs tuition. We got $1000 and were extremely grateful for it - that money enabled us to enroll our daughter in the school where my wife works. That is the extent of help we received.
I feel privileged and grateful for whatever assistance my family has gotten and am not going to pretend that I havenβt benefitted from generational wealth and the like. But to be characterized as a middle aged adult mooching off his parents is insulting, humiliating and absolutely untrue. I donβt recall asking for or getting any other financial assistance from Jeffrey & Sheryl Ferguson since I was a senior in college. This has been a traumatizing, painful process. I recognize there are other more pressing concerns at stake: freedom, justice, truth. I donβt want to pretend the source of where a little bit of my kidβs daycare tuition comes from is anywhere near that level of import. But to hear it misrepresented adds insult to injury. This is all Iβm going to say about the matter for now. Please respect mine and my familyβs privacy.

What are they trying to "protect" us from, these big networks?
(and you'll notice I use the term in quotes, because I'm not so sure they have our best interests at heart!)
This horror blockbuster has the networks running scared!
A screen shot of an emailed press release featuring screenshots of anonymized emails, presumably from network TV employees. The emails are say they can't run a trailer for "The Monkey" because it is too violent. What are these networks hiding!
I just got a press release for "The Monkey," which is the next movie from the Longlegs guy.
Look, there's a lot to process, but I'll just say that I, too, am very surprised to learn that if you feature certain scenes from a horror movie in a trailer, networks might have issues running your trailer
Corporate was a really good TV show, I miss that one
notes app: I have a bunch of menβs clothes size 2xl/3xl tall, 42-44w that I am no longer in need of. I know most people collecting supplies for fire victims are saying theyβre good on clothes but I can speak from experience that sizes like this are hard to come by. Are there any orgs I should ask? Or anybody you know displaced by the fire who could use them?
I think what's especially sad about the Eaton fire is that so many of the people I knew in Altadena were first time homeowners who hadn't even been in their house a decade. One family I knew hadn't even been there a year. I don't know how you rebuild from that.
