The problem is proxyism. i.e. if a voter wanted to vote in the bigger parties, they would do that directly. All small party votes are necessarily collectively anti-bigParty votes.
When a small party betrays that fundamental principle by propping up the big party incumbents, they will be punished.

In these extraordinary times internationally, it is in some way heartening to see the international rules-based system continues to function towards holding leaders to account.

I hope that this marks a turning point towards a ceasefire, release of all hostages, and a lasting peace in the region 🕊☘️
