This and ... [waves hands]... aim to make systematic violence against political opponents by secret police ideologically satisfying.
Dehumanizing fellow Americans & celebrating their suffering....
I was listening to Green Day! It felt like good music for the current situation.
hey Minneapolis - if your storm drains are clogged, go out there NOW and clear them so when things get mushy the melt has a place to go instead of pooling at the bottom of your street!
Bikes and my footprints as I walked to the bus!
Selfie of a woman on a bus in a green winter jacket, black hat, and scarf.
First time on the B Line!
I want that MBTA skyline sweater with the Minneapolis skyline!
She’s about to be my council member (ugh.) I’m about to have her office on speed dial. She’s probably already tired of hearing from us about parks matters.
Our plan is to try studs on just the back tire. The front ones are a pain on mine as well.
I am!!!! Second bike ride since April today! We took a short one on Friday to Lito’s. I do NOT have studs but really wish I did. It was a rough trip and my ankle is sore. It really highlighted how weak my whole left leg still is.
Bus ad reads: Stop for pedestrians at every corner. Yep...every single one.
New pro-pedestrian bus ad from MNDOT dropped.
Reads: "Stop for pedestrians at every corner. Yep...every corner."
Those look so good!! Yum!!
Our kids go to Emerson! We might try and stop by the celebration this year!
A small ofrenda for a dog with marigolds, papel picado, monarch butterflies, tea lights, a bowl of water, and a plate of treats.
When you have kids in a Spanish immersion school and you lose a pet this is the result. An ofrenda for our best girl Paisley! There was even a vendor selling fresh stems of marigolds at Kingfield farmer’s market yesterday!
Yes! We end up locking to the pool fence every week.
How are you doing after seeing that? I can imagine that would be hard to see as well. I’m glad the person is physically ok.
View from the front of a cargo bike riding on a new two-way protected bikeway. Ahead, three children, all wearing helmets, ride bikes — one in a yellow sweatshirt, one in black, and one in a patterned dress. A pedestrian walks on the sidewalk to the left. Apartment buildings line one side of the street, and parked cars line the other. Trees and bright morning sunlight frame the neighborhood scene.
People act like getting kids places without a car is Herculean. I biked three (one not mine) to the Kingfield Farmers Market, 95% on bikeways. No car seats, no stress, just laughs. The challenge isn’t moving kids, it’s redesigning cities to work for people instead of cars. #StreetsForPeople
This letter is now live and ready for signatories!
We are asking cisgender allies in Minnesota who consider themselves members of the DFL to sign on to show support for trans people here.
We’re in!! Let’s go!
Mpls for the Many logo with the title text, "Mayor Endorsement" above a photo of Omar Fateh with the text: "#1 Senator Omar Fateh." Below that are two smaller photos of DeWayne Davis and Jazz Hampton labeled "#2 DeWayne Davis" and "#3 Jazz Hampton"
Minneapolis deserves values driven leadership to can meet the challenges we face boldly, compassionately and with integrity. That’s why today, we’re endorsing @omarfatehmn.com #1 for Mayor!
His track record in the Senate fighting for working people is exactly the leadership we need in Minneapolis.
Two bikes — a small yellow and white kid’s bike and a larger purple touring bike — are parked on a freshly reconstructed sidewalk in front of a colorful row of small businesses. The storefront directly behind them is painted bright blue and lime green and has jewelry displayed in the window. Farther down the block are other buildings painted red, teal, and black, with patio tables and chairs set out along the wide sidewalk under blue skies.
A young child wearing a colorful unicorn dress and a bike helmet stands next to a small yellow and white bike, giving a thumbs-up. Beside them is a larger purple touring bike with pannier racks, both parked on a bright new concrete sidewalk in front of a shop with vivid teal and lime green painted walls and jewelry displayed in the window.
Quick taco run at La Bodega on Hennepin with the kiddo. 🌮🚲
This is exactly why safe bike infrastructure matters — it makes everyday trips like picking up food easy, fun, and stress-free.
The big money against our campaign is starting to emerge! Please contribute before the filing deadline to help us win in November! secure.actblue.com/donate/neigh...
A dark green Surly long tail cargo bike with 4 bags of groceries in the saddle bags. It is parked on the sidewalk outside of a grocery store next to the street.
4 full bags of groceries (and two kids not pictured) were a wobbly haul on my Surly Big Easy. It’s much easier to get groceries in my current trike setup.
That is right where Stephen bikes our kids to school. It was a stressful spring for him trying to get our youngest to daycare safely.
A child in a yellow Pikachu shirt and red pants rides a bike on a residential sidewalk. The photo is taken from behind the handlebars of a cargo bike. Several other people on bikes are visible further ahead, and trees, houses, and a parked SUV line the street on a sunny day.
Technically there’s a bike lane here. Also technically, cars are allowed to drive in it. It’s just an enhanced sharrow — which is a fancy way of saying “good luck, kid.” We’re one block from an elementary school and everyone is biking on the sidewalk instead.
The Crazy Nachos are a ridiculous pile of food and absolute heaven. We usually walk there and waddle home. 😂
Yes!!! Some of the best birria I’ve had! Yesterday we had a birria quesadilla. 🤤
HF1167 would ax the NLX train (Mpls to Duluth)
Years of community work & MNDOT investment down the drain, b/c trains are essentially 'a handout.'
There is a belief that transit should pay for itself b/c of a notion that roads, airports, etc. pay for themselves.
They don't. (More on this soon) 1/2
Oh no! I hope you feel better soon! We just had the flu a couple weeks ago and it was rough. Enjoy the ice cream!
