After almost 6 years my PhD journey came to an end! It has been a wild ride and Iโ€™m incredibly grateful for all the things I learned and the people I have met, especially the other members of the @sendoellab.bsky.social.

I am also looking forward to my next chapter at the FGCZ!

July in preprints - the Node Welcome to our monthly trawl for developmental and stem cell biology (and related) preprints. The preprints this month are hosted on bioRxiv.

Our latest monthly #preprint list is out!

Have a look at the #DevBio and stem cell biology preprints that came out in July. Congrats to all authors ๐ŸŽ‰

If you are interested in #DevBio, #organoids, #gastruloids or #CRISPR, check out the tweetorial to our new preprint on uncovering novel regulators of body plan formation in gastruloids using single cell CRISPR screens!

A big thank you to all co-authors that made this paper possible!

How can we identify novel regulators of germ layer differentiation and body patterning? I am happy to announce that my preprint using single-cell CRISPR screens in gastruloids to answer this question is now online! Thank you to the rest of the @sendoellab.bsky.social and all coauthors!

Our genome encodes > 7000 microproteins that have been previously ignored in genome annotations. How do these microproteins impact tissue function? Here, we use an in vivo single-cell CRISPR screen to systematically explore microprotein function in the mouse epidermis. 1/9
