I’ve been trying to study older manga where they had to cut the tones by hand and be judicious about where they use them because it’s a stupid amount of work, I remember seeing this FotNS panel where there’s like, a shack and he got this cool ombré effect by putting a flat tone on busy lines-

Acting takes serious emotional fortitude. When you don’t get a role, there’s rarely feedback you might not have done anything wrong. You’re not bad, something just didn’t fit. Over time the uncertainty and rejection can really chip at you
