don't worry about it, I don't think the cerebellum is important for reaching.

Had a lot of fun teaching the first year students about the cerebellum today! Opened with the Powerpuff girls, how the mayor was absolutely useless and horrible at his job, but his assistant was essential, ran everything, and kept the town afloat. Her name was Ms. Sara Bellum. Got audible gasps!
Yes, mine was assigned to a SEP randomly, I contacted the SRO and he told me it was just a placeholder assignment until it gets assigned to one of the "new" study sections because my requested one (CDIN) was being eliminated

Anyways Iβm crying
"I donβt know that we need to take a podcast statement from Bhattacharya as settled policy. He says a lot of stuff on podcasts, only some of which is likely actionable or will be actioned. But it is well worth keeping an eye on any signals that ESI preferences will be scaled back."
The KM Lab is hiring!
We're looking for both a new technician (makes a great post-bac like experience) and a post-doc.

βAll along the way, the community has stepped up with our whistles, with our cell phones and with our bodies to defend our neighbors,β Communities United Against Police Brutality president Michelle Gross said.
βBut what do we see from our public officials? They have utterly failed us.β
Bovino advanced all the way to within eyesight of Paisley Park, but his supply lines were stretched too thin and ultimately his frozen troops were encircled by Will Stancil and wine moms with whistles
This is all due to the incredible resistance of the people of Minnesota.
Their resilience - and their determination - helped enforce the Constitution in a way that political elites in Congress and the courts did not or could not.
I have never been prouder to be a Minnesotan.
Operation metro surge is ending but operation βgo fuck yourselves you fascist pieces of shitβ will continue forever.
The gestapo (theoretically) leaving with their tails tucked between their legs is NOT the same as returning our neighbors, fixing our communities, paying serious reparations, and making sure those fuckers face justice for their crimes. But, boy does this feel (cautiously optimistically) good
things have not changed here. please, if youβre not in minnesota, do not look away. please prepare where you are. this is what theyβll do to your community next.
Sometimes very hard not to feel like the rest of the country has abandoned Minnesota. We STILL have ICE everywhere. Our schools, businesses, and economy are in profound crisis. But without Bovino here throwing tear gas, much of the country seems to not care at all whatβs being done to us.
Very well deserved, Ben! Congratulations!
This is scathing. Kash Patel and anyone else involved in this must be impeached.

Reminder there are still 2000 active goons destroying our city and kidnapping civilians to such an extreme extent that kids cant even go to school normally
Pop singer Lorde will donate the $204,000 she made on merchandise sales from her sold-out Minneapolis shows last fall to two Minnesota immigrant rights groups.
Brewery workers, bar owners, and union organizers in MSP are setting the mark on how to actually care for their community, rather than just invoke as a buzzword. At @vinepair.com, I reported how their work doubles as a playbook for colleagues nationwide whose homes may face MAGA sieges soon enough.
Just to provide a brief respite from the horror, this week's episode of Radiolab is truly wonderful and worth a listen (even if you might not love the cerebellum as much as I do)

My first R01 has officially been submitted. I remember working on my K99 during May 2020 thinking hopefully I'll never have to write another grant during such chaotic, uncertain, and frightening conditions. January 2026 said "hold my beer."
Iβm ok. Iβm a survivor so this small agitator isnβt going to intimidate me from doing my work.
I donβt let bullies win.
Grateful to my incredible constituents who rallied behind me. Minnesota strong.
Ms. Omar, visibly shaken after the assault, insisted to her staff and security that she would continue. She asked for a napkin and told them: "Just give me 10 minutes. I beg you. Please don't let them have the show." Ms. Omar then turned the crowd. "Here's the reality that people like this ugly man don't understand," she said. "We are Minnesota strong, and we will stay resilient in the face of whatever they might throw at us." Someone in the crowd later thanked Ms. Omar for staying and continuing after the assault, which had shaken not only her but the entire room. "I learned at a young age you don't give in to threats," Ms. Omar said.

So for Dems, the win is: reiterating 3 things that are already law, 1 thing that is a best practice, and 1 thing that was already a rule up until 6 months ago?
From the bottom of my heart: fuck off with this.
And they didn't even include ICE out of hospitals, healthcare facilities and daycares.
Bovino's gone but it's not over: they're ramping up. They're going to use Fort Snelling for "parking approximately 300-500 vehicles . . . a ready room space for 500-800 CBP personnel . . . access to a magazine to store munitions."
BREAKING Greg Bovino has been removed as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to El Centro Calif, where he is expected to retire soon. A stunning turnaround after Pretti killing. Bovino's traveling blue city crackdown is over www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...
Three days after my grant is due? IT'S LIKE YOU KNEW AND PLANNED IT JUST FOR ME
Needless to say that Renee Good and Alex Pretti will go down as heroes here in Minnesota and nationally, their names synonymous with sacrifice and caring for vulnerable neighbors even at the risk of your own life. And hopefully no more innocent lives are lost.
